Erin Notstad, Registered Dental Hygienist
Erin recently moved to Houston from Wisconsin for the warmer weather
and many career opportunities here. In 2005, she graduated from MATC
in Madison, WI. Erin grew up on a dairy farm, the eldest of four
children and, when home, loves spending time with her family. Erin
loves animals and is constantly taking some type of animal home.
Erin used to work at a veterinary clinic, and it was there, while
cleaning dogs teeth, that she decided to become a dental hygienist.
Erin says “I love my career and can’t imagine doing anything
else! Helping people improve their oral health, and making them smile
makes me happy and, as I hygienist, I have the opportunity to do

Lily Alvarez, Dental Assistant
Lily was born and raised in Mexico where she earned her degree as
a Medic Stomatologist (dentist) in 2000. She chose a career in dentistry
because she likes to “help people, make them happy and see
their happiness through their beautiful smile!” Lily practiced
in Mexico until 2003, when her family decided to move to the U.S.
as her father had been here for some time and the distance and lack
of time with her father was difficult for the family. Lily desperately
wanted to continue her career in dentistry, but due to differences
in education and licensing, she could not practice dentistry without
going to dental school again. A friend of her mothers suggested Lily
become a dental assistant. She began taking classes and soon earned
her Registered Dental Assistant License. Lily is also a member of
the American Dental Assistants Association. Lily spends her free
time reading, watching dramatic movies, biking and playing basketball
with her brothers.
