Lily Alvarez, Dental Assistant
Lily was born and raised in Mexico where she earned her degree as a Medic
Stomatologist (dentist) in 2000. She chose a career in dentistry because
she likes to “help people, make them happy and see their happiness
through their beautiful smile!” Lily practiced in Mexico until 2003,
when her family decided to move to the U.S. as her father had been here
for some time and the distance and lack of time with her father was difficult
for the family. Lily desperately wanted to continue her career in dentistry,
but due to differences in education and licensing, she could not practice
dentistry without going to dental school again. A friend of her mothers
suggested Lily become a dental assistant. She began taking classes and soon
earned her Registered Dental Assistant License. Lily is also a member of
the American Dental Assistants Association. Lily spends her free time reading,
watching dramatic movies, biking and playing basketball with her brothers.
